Apacer Technology Inc. has announced the release of a new storage card series for mobile phones – microSD(tm) High Capacity (microSDHC(tm)) class 6.
Apacer makes full card line-up for mobile phones: microSD and microSDHC with 1 to 8 GB onboard. If we compare a microSD (2GB – maximum capacity) and an 8GB microSDHC card, the latter can store much more data: 2048 audio tracks, over 2400 high resolution images or up to 34.3 hours of high quality MPEG4 video.
Being of identical size microSDHC cards aren’t fully compatible with microSD devices, including card-readers. Before you buy a microSDHC card, make sure the target device carries a microSDHC logo on it or in the manual.
The 4GB microSDHC card is already available in stores. The company expects to launch the 8GB card soon.
